The Majestic cinema in Echenans-sous-mont-Vaudois will be located on a plot of land along the D130 departmental road.<\/p>\n

It is in a strategic location:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • it is close to a commercial area<\/li>\n
  • it is at the exit n\u00b08 of the national road N19<\/li>\n
  • it is surrounded by green spaces<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The site of the project, currently undeveloped (it is a field).
    The building of the cinema will be implanted at the bottom of the ground compared to the departmental road D130, in order to place the carpark near this axis of circulation. Moreover, the building has been implanted in such a way as to limit the cut and fill due to the topography of the land.<\/p>\n

    A forecourt will be built in front of the building to create a dynamic area overlooking the cinema but also the bowling alley and the two restaurants. This space will be covered by a canopy to create covered terraces for the restaurants and a reception area for the spectators.<\/p>\n

    This canopy, visible from afar, delimits a welcoming built front and is integrated as a new horizon line in the landscape.<\/p>\n

    Particular attention was therefore paid to the insertion of the building into the surrounding landscape. The volumetry respects the context by constituting a built front in agreement with the surroundings of the project. In order to make the parking lot and the square more pleasant and less mineral, trees and vegetation will be planted.<\/p>\n

    The main facade has vertical wooden posts that create a rhythm with the structure of the canopy. The parts of the fa\u00e7ade corresponding to the restaurants, bowling alley and cinema will be glass walls.<\/p>\n

    In order to limit the acoustic impact, all the technical equipment will be grouped together on the upper terrace, above the ambulatory, taking the shape of the roof and providing both visual and acoustic protection.<\/p>\n

    For this project, we plan to reduce energy consumption and also to reduce our carbon footprint. We will create a high-performance thermal envelope with the use of bio-sourced insulation such as the Metisse du Relais (recycled absorbent cotton panel). We plan to use wood framing, both to reduce our carbon footprint, and to provide comfort to users and promote better landscape integration.<\/p>\n

    We will study the possibility on parts of the building of installing exterior insulation, straw, integrated into structural wood caissons and covered with hemp plaster.
    By night and by day, the Majestic cinema in Echenans-sous-mont-Vaudois will be a new landmark. Indeed, the building will be seen from afar, especially at night, thanks to the lighting of the fa\u00e7ade.<\/p>\n

    The goal is a legible and attractive architecture for a culture accessible to all.<\/p>\n
