The idea is to bring together in one place the uses that are currently scattered across the site, but also to create new ones: urban market gardening, open-air shows, a space for conviviality and walking. The development of the square and the surrounding public space, which we wish to carry out in an active approach with the inhabitants, aims at making the new square a central place of the district.

The development of the roadway and the square with a unique surface material creates a continuity of the ground and re-establishes the link between the housing and the equipment pole.

With the thermal renovation of the kindergarten and elementary school buildings, as well as the renovation of the courtyards, we wanted to give an identity to the site that would be that of an optimistic and playful place.

The exterior signage is colored, the landscaping of the site, made of vegetal islands evoking the Nazairian bocage and soft colored forms contributes to make the courtyards a place of leisure where the ground lines and simple volumes will favor the children’s play and will allow to identify each building.
The architecture is light, with rounded forms that express softness in opposition to the very hard forms of the existing context. The façade, punctuated by recesses and transparency, animates the public space.
