Situated in the southernmost side of Chennevières-sur-Marne, the daycare’s lot is found within the compound of the “Moulin à vent” school complex. This complex is located on the edge of a large complex and the city. The daycare, a new public facility, takes place at the heart of an already existing network of facilities. It is a place of meeting and exchange for the neighborhood.
Everything is made for the children’s well-being. The courtyards are a filer between the public setting of the street and the life spaces of the daycare. The big game rooms center around these yards and profit from broad openings south and east.
The building’s volume is cut in several pieces so as to integrate itself more smoothly in the lot. The two wings, both of which don’t have the same height, favor a long unfolding of the façade.
