JOSEPHINE

JOSEPHINE

modular and adaptable scenography
timed itinerary
pure and geometric lines
viewpoint chosen by the visitor

Josephine’s personality was shaped by history, but she reciprocally influenced her era. Her importance to her husband led her to embody the values of the Empire and to have a passion for the arts, refined toiletries, furniture and jewelry, for example.

In the image of Josephine, both iconic and timeless, the scenography integrates references of the time, gold, powdered colors, declined through a contemporary vocabulary.
The first parts of the show are simple and linear, representing the stretching of time, the rise of Josephine to the coronation. Then, we enter a space with dimensions at the height of a sovereign.

She there, embodied by her dress. The exhibition continues on her passions. The objects of her collections occupy the space and are highlighted in showcases, cases. Finally, we find a linear path that leads us to a final portrait of the incomparable woman that was Josephine.
