The project consisted of refurbishing the existing building to bring it into compliance with current safety and environmental standards and to give it a new visual identity that would set it apart in the Parisian library landscape.

To do this, the agency mainly proceeded to :
– bringing the building up to disabled and fire standards
– bringing the smoke extraction system into compliance
– the reorganization of the different levels;
– the enclosure of the stairwells;
– the creation of disabled toilets;
– the repair of the ventilation installations on the whole building;
– the installation of an addressable category B fire safety system with type 2A alarm equipment.
The second priority was also to bring a new identity to the building by improving its attractiveness and attendance. We took advantage of the geometry of the premises and the sunlight linked to its large glass façade to create a pleasant and soothing chromatic atmosphere, forming a dynamic and luminous interior scenography.
